First Treasure of the Season!

Just a few days into the 2024 season the crew of the M/V Lilly May (C-69) located a hot spot on one of our sites. So far, they have recovered over 200 silver cobs! These are mostly large denomination (4 and 8 Reales). The crew of the Lilly May is Capt. Mike Penninger, Grant Gitschlag, Nick Amelio and Corinne McClanahan, along with guest JP Prouty and Reagan H. Well done to the Lilly May crew!
Incredible. Even after seeing this I would still not be able to recognize what it is if ever I came across something like this. I would have made a poor treasure hunter. Thanks for sharing pictures of the discoveries.

To the untrained eyes, MY eyes, they look like rocks and pebbles. This find is exciting.
