Cherub Mystery
Last week Captain Dan Porter and his crew aboard 1715 Fleet-Queens Jewels salvage vessel the M/V Capitana made an interesting discovery at Corrigan's wreck while conducting methodical excavations in close proximity to the beach. Three small silver objects were discovered bearing what appears to be the faces of "cherubs". Two of the objects were fairly well worn while the third object was in very good condition. It is a mystery as to what exactly these objects adorned or were associated with. Conservation work at the lab and further research will hopefully shed some light on these unusual and interesting objects. Good job Dan and crew!!
